Abstract

Pseudobacter ginsenosidimutans Gsoil 221 T was isolated from the soil of a ginseng field. The strain Gsoil 221 T converted the ginsenosides, Rb1 and Rc (two dominant active components of ginseng) into ginsenoside F2. The whole genome sequence of Pseudobacter ginsenosidimutans Gsoil 221 T consisted of one circular chromosome comprised of 7,797,595 bp, with a DNA G + C content of 46.9%. Of the 6,115 predicted genes, 5,941 protein-coding genes, 57 RNA genes, 117 pseudogenes and 1 CRISPR array were identified. A whole genome analysis of strain Gsoil 221 T showed glycoside hydrolase genes, DNA mismatch repair genes, and antitoxin system genes.
